2022–2023 Investment Applications are Now Online at United Way of the Plains
WICHITA, Kan., Dec. 2, 2021 — Health and human service nonprofits in the eight county service area served by United Way of the Plains are invited to apply for a 2022-2023 community investment. An online application can be found at https://unitedwayplains.org/nonprofit-investment-opportunities/. Nonprofits may download an application guide for more information about the process. The deadline for submissions is noon on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022.
Abel Frederic, vice president of community impact for United Way of the Plains said, “Our team has streamlined our annual process by eliminating a number of requirements, including in-person interviews, on-site visits and client testimonials. The goal is to make it easier for nonprofits to participate in this annual process, so we’re now offering an online application.”
Thanks to the caring power of the community, United Way of the Plains invested a total of $5.7 million in human service programs from July 2021 to June 2022 that helped individuals and families throughout south central Kansas achieve their human potential in three areas: health, education and financial stability. Funded programs ranged from adult day care to street outreach.
Panels of community volunteers will review the 2022-23 applications and funding announcements will be made in June 2022.
