The local Day of Caring begins with a motivational breakfast at Evergreen Recreation Center that includes instructions for the day. Spaces are limited. Individuals should register online by Monday, June 17. Children ages 8 and up are welcome to participate. Some projects are also available for corporate teams. Please see specific activities for age requirements and other limitations.

United Way of the Plains President and CEO Pete Najera said, “Last year’s global Day of Caring involved tens of thousands of volunteers across hundreds of communities. We’re very pleased to initiate and lead the Wichita component this year. It’s inspiring to be part of a worldwide effort that helps pave a pathway for everyone in our community to fulfill their potential. Working together to be part of the #ForceForGood amplifies the impact of individuals by creating stronger partnerships and relationships. It’s vital to our community’s success that we each contribute to helping our neighbors.”
