A campaign makes it easy for your employees to make philanthropic contributions through payroll deduction…and have fun while doing it. There are also opportunities for staff to gain leadership experience and work with other departments.

Your campaign will support needed local programs and initiatives in the areas of health, education, financial stability and basic needs. Together, we make Wichita and surrounding communities a better place to live, work and play.

THREE EASY STEPS TO RUN A CAMPAIGN

1. Host an all staff meeting

It only takes 15 – 20 minutes for a United Way Relationship Manager to talk with your staff about community needs and how they can help. Call United Way at (316) 267‑1321 to schedule a time.

2. Pass out pledge cards and brochures

At the meeting, make sure each staff member gets a pledge card and brochure. United Way can provide these materials.

3. Collect and return pledge cards

Collect pledge cards and complete a report envelope. Call United Way at (316) 267‑1321 when it’s ready to be picked up.

Ask your employees to support United Way of the Plains when shopping at their favorite stores:

Order from Amazon? Give back when you do! AmazonSmile offers the same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon. The only difference is that AmazonSmile will donate a portion of your purchase back to United Way of the Plains! Setup is easy:

Desktop:

  1. Visit smile.amazon.com. Use your existing Amazon username and password or set one up.
  2. Pick United Way of the Plains as the charity of your choice.
  3. Bookmark smile.amazon.com for future shopping.

Amazon App on IOS and Android:

  1. In the app, go to the menu.
  2. Tap settings.
  3. Select ‘AmazonSmile’ and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the process.
Dillons Rewards

Dillons Food Stores Community Rewards program will donate a portion of your purchase back to United Way. Connect your Dillons reward card to the community rewards program:

  1. Visit this web page.
  2. Log into your Dillons account or create one.
  3. Search for United Way of the Plains, or use our ID number TK211.
  4. Click “Enroll” and you’re done! Be sure to use your Dillons reward card each time you shop.

Tell new employees how your company cares about the community through United Way by giving them a special new hires folder that contains a United Way brochure and pledge card.

Ask your United Way contact for copies of the new hires folder.

Whether an employee is retiring or moving on in their career, give them the opportunity to learn how to continue their support of the community through the exit flier. If an employee is retiring, be sure to talk with them about Always United.
