Gwen Kochman Promoted to Vice President of Philanthropy for United Way of the Plains
WICHITA, Kan., Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023 — United Way of the Plains is pleased to announce that Gwen Kochman has been promoted to Vice President of Philanthropy. Kochman is responsible for leading and implementing all fundraising strategies and programs. She joined United Way of the Plains in August 2021 as the Associate Director of Philanthropy after relocating from Colorado where she worked for various nonprofits. Kochman brings nearly twenty years of fundraising experience to her role. A graduate of the University of Denver, she holds a Bachelor of Arts, Law & Society with a minor in Communications.
United Way of the Plains President and CEO Pete Najera said, “Gwen has exceeded every goal we’ve set for her and her team since joining our organization. She’s exhibited exceptional leadership qualities and proven herself to be an integral part of our success. We have faith and confidence in her abilities to help us do more for the people of south central Kansas as she expands her responsibilities in this important position.”
