Matt Lowe Joins United Way of the Plains as Community Impact Manager for Basic Needs
WICHITA, Kan., Nov. 8, 2021 — United Way of the Plains has added Matt Lowe to the full-time staff as the Community Impact Manager for Basic Needs. Lowe will manage community-wide activities around serving the area’s most vulnerable populations in providing basic needs (shelter, food, social safety-net programs, etc.).
A graduate of Mid America Christian University, where he earned a Master of Arts in Leadership, Lowe earned a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry from the same institution. He brings nearly a decade of nonprofit experience to his job, most recently with HumanKind Ministries in Wichita where he served as the Director of Homeless Services
Lowe will report to Abel Frederic, Vice President of Community Impact for United Way of the Plains. Frederic said, “This position requires a strong and outward facing leader who is both approachable and engaging. I am impressed with Matt’s commitment to building a new and better future for all citizens of our community, especially those who need the most basic human services. I’m confident that he will be laser focused on our mission and will work on innovative solutions with our partners and community stakeholders.”
