Michele Grimm joins United Way of the Plains as 211 Coordinator
United Way of the Plains has announced the addition of Michele Grimm to the Community Impact & Services team as the United Way 211 Coordinator. United Way 211 is a free, confidential service that connects Kansans with a wide range of resources and services across the state. Last year, Kansans were connected to help 159,089 times through this critical service. Grimm is responsible for managing the 211 call specialist staff who respond to text, online chats and phone calls from Kansans who are looking for assistance with utilities, rent, access to shelter and many other social services.
Grimm is a graduate of Wichita State University and holds a B.A. in Business Administration. She has spent her professional career in Wichita. With more than 23 years of nonprofit experience with the American Red Cross, she most recently served that organization as the district manager of biomedical donor recruitment.
