On President’s Day, United Way Volunteer Center coordinating community service activity with Credit Union of America
255 employees will make comfort kits for children in crisis, blankets for homeless teens and more

Event:
- 150 teacher appreciation bags for teachers in USD 259
- 100 Comfort Kits for Kids in Crisis for the Wichita Police Department to distribute
- 25 fleece tie blankets for homeless teens
- 20 Bookshare Box Libraries for schools and clinics
Background:
Each Presidents Day since 2014, Credit Union of America has worked with the United Way Volunteer Center to develop a community service project that their employees could participate in during their annual company-wide training. United Way Volunteer Center arranged with local nonprofits for projects that could be produced at the training site.
