United Way of the Plains welcomes Cecilia Wood
Cecilia Wood joined United Way of the Plains this week as a 211 Resource Specialist. In her role she will handle requests from the public about resources that are available to them in times of crisis and uncertainty. Last year, Kansans were connected to help through United Way’s 211 confidential and free services 159,089 times.
A graduate of Emporia State University, Wood has worked in law enforcement and spent more than twenty years doing investigative work. She has spent her career in Kansas working for various government agencies and in the private sector.
