Welcome to the team: Steven Burt, HMIS Administrator
Please help us welcome Steven Burt, MA to United Way of the Plains as the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Administrator. Burt is responsible for the maintenance and quality of the HMIS database, which is used to collect and store confidential data on the service needs of those who are homeless. HMIS reports are used by Impact ICT – Continuum of Care (CoC) to coordinate care, manage operations and better serve those in need. Members of Impact ICT – CoC work together year-round with one common goal: to make homelessness rare, brief and nonrecurring.
Burt brings more than 25 years of experience in the research and implementation of public policy to his new position. A licensed clinical addictions counselor, he has worked in various behavioral health and counseling leadership roles. Burt earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont and holds a Master of Arts from California Southern University.
