Health

The health of our community is only as strong as the health of our neighbors.

WHY IT MATTERS

Health impacts an individual’s ability to live their best life. It’s also a factor in the overall strength of our community.

Children with a toothache are distracted from learning. Adults who suffer from chronic conditions often miss work, affecting their earnings. The sudden onset of life-threatening illnesses can leave families facing bankruptcy. Inadequate insurance forces people to make frightening decisions on which prescription medication they can afford and which they’ll go without.

0%
of adults in Sedgwick County lacked health insurance in 2018.
0%
of adults in Sedgwick County didn’t visit a dentist in 2018.
0%
of adults reported poor mental health 14+ days in the past month in 2018.
