Kristie Costa joins United Way of the Plains
United Way of the Plains welcomes Kristi Costa as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program Manager. The free tax preparation program operated 13 sites across south central Kansas in 2023, where volunteers filed nearly 6,000 tax returns and secured $7.1 million in total refunds for income-limited households.
Costa was a VITA site coordinator in 2024 for United Way of the Plains and brings a variety of management skills and experiences to her role. She has earned an associate degree from Barton Community College and is currently working on her accounting degree from Franklin University.
