Shylee Johnson Joins United Way of the Plains
United Way of the Plains welcomes Shylee Johnson as our new Continuum of Care Planning Associate. In this role, Johnson will support United Way of the Plains as the lead agency of the Coalition to End Homelessness in Wichita / Sedgwick County. She will assist in key functions of the coalition, including writing the CoC’s annual HUD funding application, facilitating monthly coalition meetings, and developing and strengthening partnerships with nonprofits, local governments, and landlords.
Johnson brings a variety of community nonprofit experience to this role, including most recently serving as the community resource specialist for DCCA Family Preservation. She holds a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Science in psychology from Wichita State University.
