United Way Welcomes Candace Landers as Our Labor Liaison

Candace Landers joins the United Way of the Plains philanthropy team as our new Labor Liaison. In this role, Landers will build on more than 85 years of partnership with local unions to strengthen community conditions for all through United Way. She will cultivate relationships, organize community engagement opportunities, and work with union-based workforces to strengthen support for United Way’s mission and community initiatives. Landers has a strong background in labor relations, community outreach, and workforce engagement. She has previously served as the Organizing Assistant and Union Leader for United Teachers of Wichita, and prior to that, was an educator for 12 years.
