United Way welcomes Kat Allee as a Family Housing Navigator

Kathleen (Kat) Allee has joined United Way of the Plains as a Family Housing Navigator for the United for Families program. This new initiative from the Coalition to End Homelessness strengthens our community’s response to families experiencing housing instability and homelessness through personalized support, connections to community resources, financial assistance, prevention, and diversion. In her new role, Allee will work with vulnerable families to help them access housing, support services, and the resources needed to achieve long-term housing stability.

Allee brings experience in street outreach, case management, housing navigation, peer mentoring, and substance use counseling. She most recently served as a housing specialist with the City of Wichita Department of Housing and Community Services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Wichita State University and is pursuing a master’s degree in clinical social work from Fort Hays State University.
