Welcome to the team: Sarah Crick Milligan, VITA Program Manager
Sarah Crick Milligan has joined United Way of the Plains as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program Manager. The VITA initiative is managed by United Way of the Plains and assists families and individuals making $60,000 or less per year with filing tax returns. Ensuring that individuals receive the tax credits they’ve earned helps them maintain their financial stability and fund basic life necessities. This year, 120 volunteers processed more than 5,500 tax returns valued at $7.9 million.
Sarah is responsible for volunteer recruitment, training and management as well as other outreach activities associated with the VITA program. A former City Management Fellow for the City of Wichita, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the Kansas State University and holds a Master of Public Administration from Wichita State University.
