United Way of the Plains Welcomes Jace Helstrom
Jace Helstrom will serve as the new Community Services Associate Manager for United Way of the Plains. In this role he will assist with the daily operations at our Give Items of Value Warehouse, including maintaining the organization of merchandise, coordinating nonprofits who shop at the warehouse and assisting with volunteer groups. The GIV program accepts in-kind donations from local companies and national retailers that are available to nonprofits for free. Last year, 264 nonprofits visited GIV and obtained over $3 million worth of free goods, which helped lower their overhead expenses and funnel more financial resources into programming to meet the needs of their clients. This role also serves as an integral part of our disaster response services. Helstrom brings a variety of manufacturing experiences and certifications to this role. He most recently worked at BMG of Kansas.
