United Way of the Plains Welcomes Danette Tipton

Danette Tipton has joined the team at United Way of the Plains as the 211 Database Manager. Tipton is responsible for maintaining the database of available resources for the communities served by the United Way 211 Information and Referral service. She will also be delivering quality, professional assistance to 211 clients.

United Way provides the 211 Information and Referral program as a free, confidential service that connects people who are in crisis to a wide range of resources and services across the state via phone, email or text. Last year Kansans found help 122,169 times through 211.

Tipton is a graduate of Wichita State University where she earned both an M.A. (Community Psychology) and a B.A. (Liberal Arts). She has worked in leadership roles at social service nonprofits for more than twenty years including her role at United Way of the Plains as a 211 volunteer and a full-time employee involved in research and allocations.
